The present report delves into the purpose of the initiative, which is to foster intergenerational collaboration and engagement in promoting environmental sustainability.
It outlines the program’s core activities, such as
- Workshops
- Seminars
- Community projects
- Awareness campaigns
designed to empower individuals of different age groups to become effective advocates for the environment.
This program was carried out in three stages.
- Mainly, 14 children and 13 parents, grandparents and mentors were trained on January 21, 2023 at the Foyer des Jeunes d'Amadahomé, in Lomé, Togo, on techniques for Climate justice advocacy (#climateadvocacy). This training consisted of equipping and strengthening the capacity of these children and parents to become agents of change and also to prepare them to properly assume their role as Intergenerational Ambassadors for Environmental Sustainability (IAES).
- Then, on Saturday January 28, 2023, the participants took part in the #ClimateSaturday day where they led an awareness campaign for the sanitation of the Lomé beach.
- And finally, on Saturday February 18, 2023, the 3 Intergenerational Ambassadors for Environmental Sustainability were selected following a competition that kept all its promises at MINT HOTEL in Lomé.
The winners of this edition are:
- In 1st place, Enoc MOUKPE with its project under the theme of awareness, entitled “Advocacy for the Community Awareness of the Effects of Climate Change ''.
- In 2nd place, Koku Persé TEKPOR and Success TEKPOR with their father Kossivi TEKPOR with their project under the theme of Sustainable Agriculture and Sustainable Waste Management, entitled “Domestic Composting”.
- In 3rd place, the twins Josué AHADJITSE and Caleb AHADJITSE with their mentor Koffi TAMAKLOE with their project under the theme of Waste Management, entitled “Recycling of waste (Valorisation of domestic waste)”.
These first 3 winning teams received prizes to motivate them to continue the climate advocacy work and the remaining participants were provided with certificates of participation. In addition to that, these laureates are benefiting from the technical support of the FutureRoad Strategy Foundation for the execution of their social project during one year of mandate. They are also provided a training voucher with the cabinet JEA Consulting and the FutureRoad Strategy Foundation for a continuous reinforcement of their skills during their 1 year of mandate. And finally, they provided a free catering voucher with e-Bouf, an online restaurant chain in Togo, for 3 months.

Our 3 winners have begun their advocacy mandate in their respective schools, communities we are following up to provide them with technical support and advice as needed.
